Adam Jobes – Leadbetter Instructor, LGA Vietnam
Adam Jobes was born in Leicestershire, East Midlands, and started learning golf at the age of 13 on a local 9-hole golf course where he discovered a love for the game.
He competed for 13 years as an amateur winning many events including both junior and men’s club championships, and also competed on the Midlands Amateur Golf Tour. A highlight was being selected to represent the county junior golf team and also become part of the men’s county team.
Adam relinquished his amateur status in 2014 and began his PGA training at North Shore Golf Club in Lincolnshire. During his training, he played in a number of regional and national PGA events playing alongside former European and Challenge Touring Professionals. During this time, Adam provided appropriate coaching instruction across a range of proficiencies and individual needs before leaving his PGA training to embark on an overseas post to join LGA Vietnam in 2017.
In 2018, he graduated to become an LGA Instructor. He hopes to formulate a deeper and more nuanced understanding of coaching frameworks, adopting more reflective practice in relation to acquiring coaching expertise and looks forward to continuing this approach at LGA Vietnam.
